Core Quantitative Chemistry: Chemical Equation
Slide 15 of 39
Interconversion of chemical quantities
Regardless of the method you choose, you must be able to performs the following conversions between substances that take part in a chemical reaction:
–1. Mole of one reagent to mole of another
–2. Mole of one reagent to mass of another or vice versa
–3. Mass of one reagent to mass of another
–4. Mole of one reagent to number of particles of of another and vice versa
–5. Mass of one reagent to Number of particle of another reagent and vice versa
–6. Number of particles of one reagent to number of particles of another reagent
–7. Mole of one reagent to (in the case of a gas) volume of another reagent and vice versa
–8. Mass of one reagent to volume of another reagent and vice versa
–9. Number of particles of one reagent to volume of another reagent and vice versa
–10. In the case of a gaseous reagents, volume of one reagent to volume of another
In the next several slide, examples of type of conversion is worked out using factor-label method.
