Water Purification
The
main stages of large scale water purification are:
Filtration:
The water first enters a precipitation tank: the large ,insoluble
particles settle at the bottom of the tank (B). Next,
the water passes through a series of filtration tanks. Smaller
insoluble particles are filtered out as the water passes through a
series of gravel and sand beds (A and C).
